BUENOS AIRES, Argentina – MMAjunkie was on scene and reporting live from today’s early official UFC Fight Night 140 weigh-ins.

The early weigh-ins took place at the UFC host hotel in Buenos Aires and precede the ceremonial weigh-ins for fans, which take place at 5 p.m. ET at Parque Roca Arena, site of Saturday’s FS1-televised event.

Among those weighing in were headliners Neil Magny (21-6 MMA, 14-5 UFC) and Santiago Ponzinibbio (26-3 MMA, 8-2 UFC), who meet in a critical welterweight fight. While the two were among the last to hit the scales, each made weight without issue, both registering 171 pounds.

The same could not be said for women’s strawweight contender Cynthia Calvillo (6-1 MMA, 3-1 UFC), currently sitting at No. 11 in the latest USA TODAY Sports/MMAjunkie MMA strawweight rankings, who came in heavy at 118 pounds and was fined 20 percent of her purse, all of which goes to opponent Poliana Botelho (7-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC). However, the bout will go on as scheduled.
