Ronda Rousey Says She Wants Her Belt Back

Ronda Rousey appeared to dispel talk that she might not return to the Octagon during an interview with ‘Good Morning America’s’ Robin Roberts.

When asked by an audience member what she still wanted to achieve that she hadn’t already, the 29 year-old former UFC bantamweight champion didn’t have to think long before giving her reply.

“I want to win my belt back,” Rousey said.

Rousey went on to detail a piece of advice that her mother had given to her many years before when she found herself facing an opponent in Judo that had previously defeated her.

“My mom, she pulls aside the mat and she’s like, ‘I’m going to tell you what my coach told me,” Rousey said. “… He said, winning is a b*tch, but revenge is a motherf**ker.”

Rousey lost her title after suffering a brutal second round head kick knockout courtesy of Holly Holm last November, and the belt has since changed hands twice, with Miesha Tate defeating Holm earlier this year, and then Amanda Nunes taking it from her in the main event of UFC 200 last weekend.

It’s still not clear when Rousey will return to the sport, but she’s slowly starting to creep back into the media spotlight recently, having also just fronted a new Reebok ad campaign.
